Designed for handling fine powders or granulates, with medium / low abrasiveness; in the case of highly abrasive products, special wear resisting armours are provided. Screw convyors are essentially consisting with a continuous helix, with tubular or “U” channel with bolted cover and allow the transport of even dusty materials without dispersion in the environment. They can have a possible intermediate sliding support in 2 halves.
Screw conveyors are suitable for handling at short distances and are designed horizontally or inclined, if a difference in height must be overcome between the entry and exit of the material. They can be used for feeding, dosing or extraction; in this last case, the pitch of the screws on extraction must be reduced.
